Heroic Nature

The large site stretches from inland hills all the way down to the beach of the Indian Ocean near Plettenberg Bay. The gardens vary from undulating lawns and berms with wavy grasses to pristine natural eastern cape thicket bush, marrying the architecture with the natural duneland. A tennis court, a pavilion on a lake and a long sinuous boardwalk to the beach give a sense of the human touch in the wider coastal landscape.
