The gardens have been created between mountains and river specifically to create a calm luxurious effect and to incorporate the owner’s extensive art collection. A particular language of geometric pattern has been developed for the gardens, which have a teasing balance of public and private garden spaces and both groomed and “wild” parts to the gardens. Hedges used strongly as defining garden architecture form a strong link through all the gardens – the overall impression is serenity underlain with complex detail.
